So, another post about neglecting the blog. Intentions always start out good, then something comes up and next thing you know the blog falls by the wayside. Anywho....this time it is for real. We are working on updating our webpage (www.eggsequetivecouncil.com) and the new look has received a lot of good feedback. So with that in mind, I wanted to share something from a long time ago. Eggtoberfest 2006 was the event. It was at that time that Tammy and I decided that we were going to make a 10lb hamburger on the Big Green Egg. So this is the story of that event:
While searching the web, I came across a company that sold Giant Hamburger Buns. This got me to thinking....what has never been done at Eggtoberfest? That's right, something huge, something ginormous, a big @$$ hamburger. So I ordered one....
The day of Eggtoberfest came and the results were amazing. Here is a picture story of those events.
I used an electric knife to cut it into bite size pieces. The taste was actually pretty good too. I think the pure novelty had people amazed at the 10lbs of meat, 2lbs of bacon, 1lb of cheese, 1 whole head of lettuce, 3 tomatoes, 1 whole onion and a jar of pickle slices. It was fun to make and fun to eat.
